Studies/Training:

I earned my bachelor’s degree in philosophy and sociology at LMU and my master’s degree in environmental ethics at the University of Augsburg. Despite the broad range of topics, communication remained a common thread throughout my studies and helped me recognize early on the importance of a clear message.

Work experience:

During my studies, I worked in the Department of Economics at LMU, where my responsibilities included cross-functional communication. I also contributed to the content and editing of various publication projects at a chair at the University of Augsburg.

What surprises us most about your resume?

My master’s program in environmental ethics will likely be unfamiliar to most people—it is the only one of its kind in Germany and is offered exclusively at the beautiful University of Augsburg.

What do you expect in your first few months at HBI?

Applying what I already know in a new context, learning lots of new things along the way and, most importantly, meeting plenty of interesting people.

How do you imagine PR work will be?

I imagine it as a fast-paced work environment shaped by thorough research and creative ideas. Having a feel for when and how to provide the right input seems particularly important to me. I look forward to further developing the necessary skills and experience here at HBI.

Preferred Munich activity?

Enjoying the sun in one of Munich’s many parks when the weather is nice, or browsing the antiquarian bookshops in the university district on a rainy day.

What fascinates you most about the technology industry?

The potential for disruption and the focus on solutions. Technological innovations affect all our lives and have the potential to shape the future in significant ways. At the same time, they are developed with the goal of solving specific problems. I find this combination of transformative potential and pragmatism particularly fascinating.

Are you from Munich? Are you a local or a Zuagroasta?

I grew up in the Munich area, so Munich was always just a stone’s throw away.

Most popular social media platform?

Personally, none of the popular platforms really stands out to me—most of them have their own specific use cases.

Do you prefer being in the city or in the countryside?

As is so often the case, balance is key. That said, I tend to prefer life in the countryside.

What did you want to be when you were a child?

My ideas changed quite a bit, ranging from doctor to boatbuilder. PR consultant, however, was probably a little too specific to make it onto that colorful list.

How do you find out about news – print or online?

Exclusively online, although I still enjoy picking up a print edition every now and then.
