#InsideHBI – Welcome Kilian!

#InsideHBI

Name:

Kilian Schätzke

Studies/Training:

After finishing secondary school, I trained as a wholesale and export merchant at BayWa AG. I quickly realized that my favourite tasks were always linked to the external presentation of our company. That’s why I decided to complete my Abitur at the Berufliche Oberschule Wasserburg in order to develop further in this direction afterwards. Since January 2024, I have been studying Communication and PR as a dual student at the IU Internationale Hochschule Munich.

Work experience:

In my three years of professional experience at BayWa Ag, I have already been able to gain important experience and learn a lot in the world of work. Above all, I have a wide range auf training in sales and in customer contact. That’s why I’m particularly pleased to be able to use the skill I have already learned in a new industry and continue to learn and develop.

What surprises us most about your resume?

Probably the fact that I’ve already completed professional training and the Abitur after finishing secondary school, but I’m still only 20 years old. Thanks to the opportunity to shorten my professional training.

What do you expect in your first months at HBI?

I am looking forward to an approachable and helpful team that can support mi in completing my dual studies and working successfully for us and our customers.

How do you imagine PR work will be?

I think it will be a very varied job, although it can get a bit chaotic from time to time. But I’m already looking forward to finding the best solutions with creative ideas, even under stress.

Preferred Munich activity?

As a big football and sports fan, I love the various sporting events that you can enjoy in Munich. The best football club in the world, of course, but also ice hockey, basketball, or some honest football from the third division. Where else can you find that?

What fascinates you most about the technology industry?

The incredible progressiveness. In the technology sector, something new is invented almost every day that could shape the future. Being able to be even just a small part of this fills me with pride.

Are you from Munich? Are you a local or a Zuagroasta? 😉

Not from Munich but from the real Bavaria! An a small village by the Bavarian sea is truly something beautiful.

Most popular social media platform?

Instagram remains on top! I just love being able to show myself as a person through my pictures on Instagram.

Do you prefer being in the city or in the country?

Although I grew up in the countryside and appreciate many thins about it, the opportunities and diversity of the city cannot be beaten. Especially in a city as beautiful as Munich.

What did you want to be when you were a child?

Like every kid in a football club, I also wanted to become a professional player. But the dream of standing on the pitch in a crowded stadium collided with a terrible combination of a lack of talent and discipline.

How do you find out about news – print or online?

In fact, only online, the advantages are simply too clear.
